Some choices should never have to be made
Lieutenant Alex Delillo is at her wits' end: her teenage daughter is playing up, and her workload is backing up. A local shopkeeper is shot to death, and a bomb explosion almost kills her partner. Alex soon learns the bomb's explosives are rare and its wiring complex, leading her to realise that the murder is the prelude to a far more sinister and incendiary game.
As Alex tracks her prey, he strikes at her heart and takes the one person that she holds dear - her daughter Lacy. Almost paralysed by fear, Alex will have to use all her skill and determination if she is to find the bomber before he forces her to make a choice that will change her life forever . . .
