Poppy Meadows lives with her widowed mother and her brother, enjoying life to the full. The only blot on her happiness is her dreadful boss who has a roving eye for a pretty girl - and roving hands too. One rainy day, Poppy is asked to deliver a letter and in her hurry she fails to notice two people coming down the office steps. When the gentleman inadvertently knocks her over, Poppy’s stubborn pride causes her to brush aside his offer of replacing her ruined raincoat.
